A rejected code in Anime Astral Simulator is almost never actually dead — as of June 11, not a single code has expired — so when redemption fails, the cause is on your side of the screen and fixable. Here’s the checklist, ordered by how often each fix works.
Fix 1: copy-paste, don’t type
Codes are case-sensitive, and this game’s code names are typo traps: UPDATE1.5 has a dot, 2.5KLIKES and 3.5MVISITS mix dots and caps, 1MVISITS reads like a typo itself, and the SORRYFORSHUTDOWN family differs only by a trailing digit. Every entry on our codes page has a copy button — use it. If you must type, the dots and the digit suffixes are where to double-check.
Fix 2: confirm you’re in the right menu
Redemption lives behind the checkmark (flower-shaped) icon in the top-right corner — not a gear, not a settings page, not a Twitter-bird icon like half of Roblox. Click it, paste into the text box, hit the green REDEEM CODE! button. If you don’t see the icon, you’re either mid-cutscene or in a menu that hides the HUD; back out to normal gameplay first.
Fix 3: rejoin for a fresh server
The community-reported quirk that catches everyone after updates: a code released minutes ago may not register on a server that started before it. This game shuts down and hotfixes constantly (three SORRYFORSHUTDOWN codes exist for a reason), so stale servers are common around exactly the moments new codes drop. Leave, rejoin, retry — you’ll land on a fresh server with the new code registered.
Fix 4: check whether it’s already claimed
Codes are one redemption per account. If you binge-redeemed our list last week, a “failed” code today may just be a duplicate attempt — easy to lose track of when 36 are active. There’s no in-game claimed-codes list (a missing QoL feature), so if you’re unsure, redeem down our list in order; already-claimed rejections cost nothing.
The typo hall of fame
Since most failures are typing, here are the codes that cause them, worth copy-pasting even if you type everything else. Dotted codes: UPDATE1.5, 2.5KLIKES, 2.5KPLAYERS, 3.5KPLAYERS, 3.5MVISITS, 6.5KPLAYERS, 1.5MVISITS — seven codes where a missed dot reads as a different (invalid) code. Suffix twins: SORRYFORSHUTDOWN, SORRYFORSHUTDOWN2 and SORRYFORSHUTDOWN3 are three separate codes; redeeming one doesn’t touch the others, and typing the bare name when you meant the sequel is a classic. Letter-number lookalikes: 1MVISITS (one-M, not I-M) and 1KLIKES versus 1KPLAYERS. On mobile — the game supports it fully — long-press paste into the code box works normally; the copy buttons on our codes page are the whole workflow.
What it almost certainly isn’t
A group requirement — Anime Astral Simulator has none, for any code, ever; if a site tells you to join something first, it’s confusing this game with another (the genre habit is real — its closest competitor requires a community join). An expiry — zero codes have expired as of this writing; we track the day that changes on the expired codes page. A region or platform issue — no platform-specific code failures have been credibly reported; the game supports desktop and mobile alike.
If everything above fails
Then you may genuinely be early to the first dead code — it’ll happen eventually, most likely to the oldest milestone codes. Tell us via the contact page (which code, what error) and we’ll recheck and flag it within the day. Then go redeem the rest: the working list is worth roughly 6,300 F2P Tickets, and the F2P Tickets guide covers turning that into permanent gamepasses. New codes land constantly — the where-codes-come-from guide shows how to catch them first.
